A few key pieces to transform your wardrobe this Autumn

A few key pieces to transform your wardrobe this Autumn

Autumn for me definitely sees a shift in not only my clothes but the way I’m accessorising them. Here are some ideas for accessories to update your Autumn wardrobe.

Silk Scarves...

Silk or satin scarves are definitely having a moment, although they have lways been in my wardrobe and I have always loved a silk scarf or neckerchief. I used to borrow my mum's old silk scarves when I had my first real office job in my twenties. Once you wear silk scarf, you never want satin, although I do have both options available (should you wish). I love that people are wearing their silk scarves around their waists, as belts, in their hair, on their bags... I always think that they add a little something extra to your outfit.

There are some gorgeous designs new in larger silk scarves (70x70) as pictured below (the brown retro floral is stunning!)  These are such a great price at £28. The leopard silk scarf and gold paisley I have and wear both of these regularly. They are large enough to work as a scarf belt on me (I am a 10-12). Also a restock of the smaller Spotted silk scarves (brown, mustard and beige £26) and a new colourway (the beige).

Try this… a silk scarf worn with an oversized denim shirt for a high low look.  Or a scarf tied on the handle of your bag.

Knitted Neckerchiefs ...

So the first knitted neckerchiefs I had in were the Cashmere neckerchiefs last year. 100% cashmere they are just gorgeous, beautifully soft with a little edged detail. Perfect for keeping the chill off on cooler mornings and for adding a little extra to a simple outfit. I love them with a trench coat or suede jacket but they go with everything and look fab over a denim shirt or a plain knit.

New in are these Merino neckerchiefs, in plain colours (coffee or camel) or as striped neckerchiefs (grey, black stripe, brown stripe or red stripe). These are £35

There is also a red Cashmere Mix Neckechief at £40 which looks great with grey or camel.

Try this … a knitted neckerchief worn over a plain knit in a contrasting colour.

Belts..

The Wide Woven Leather Belt in dark brown is perfect for this time of year. It really finishes off a simple outfit of jeans or trousers with a pretty blouse or knit. I also love it belted over a blazer or dress. It looks fab with my leopard print maxi dress. For some reason when I put on this belt I just feel put together. It completes every outfit. It took this to Paris last Winter and wore it on repeat.

I love the Skinny Vegan Leather Belts, they look great over a blazer, a dress, a skirt or trousers and perfect if you’re trying the double belt trend! I love the contrast of the lighter coloured belt over denim or a darker jacket or trench.

Try this… a skinny belt over a blazer or trench for a cinched in waist.

Dark Brown Leather Basket

The Dark Brown Woven Leather Basket is a favourite of mine all year round but the shade is perfect in autumn, It looks great with a trenchcoat with car key with a wool blazer. This comes in regular or large sizes and is one of my most popular bags. it has a cotton drawstring insert which is finished in leather for your valuables. This basket comes in regular or large.

Try this… dark brown woven leather basket with a matching belt.

The dark brown woven leather bucket bag is another great choice if you prefer a smaller or cross body style bag. In the same gorgeous dark brown woven leather.  I love how @carolinestylehacks has styled it!

Taupe or cognac Geometric Leather Bags are an absolute classic and are also very popular at this time of year. Again, they look great with a trenchcoat, with suede, denim or a blazer.

Try this… adding a bag charm or two adds a pop of colour and interest to a structured geometric bag.

Layered jewellery, over a t shirt and knit.

I love the difference jewellery can make to an outfit and a chunky gold chain looks great styled over a T-shirt and knitwear.  Or with a plain shirt.

Try this … a white t shirt (visible), a grey jumper and a chunky gold chain is a great combo.
