Oversized Balaclava Styling

Oversized Balaclava Styling

I first got these gorgeous angora mix Oversized balaclava's in last year and they were extremely popular, and so they are back, with more colour options this year!

There are lots of these about this year, as often happens with trends they start a bit niche, edgy or cool and then become mainstream, showing up all over the high street. But I am here to tell you that they aren't edgy they can be super chic as well. So here's why my Balaclava hood is a fab one...

- it's a super soft angora mix. So soft and cosy!

- it's a great shape. Not too tight a fit (def not traditional bank robber chic) and definitely more of a hood, it's a flattering shape.

- It looks great worn up or down. I often wear mine as a snood until it gets colder when I wear it up and I love it like this.

-It's not so tight it'll spoil your hair. No hat hair here! Always a bonus!

- Gorgeous range of colours... caramel, grey, navy, black and beige.

- I love that they can add a bit of cool to your look whether it's a full length wool coat, a faux fur, a trench, blazer or quilted jacket. So they basically work with everything. I also think as well as being cool they look chic. Especially when styled with a great coat in a tonal colour.

- I can't tell you how cosy they are. SO good. Especially on a cold and windy school run/ dog walk / etc etc you get the picture. Unlike a hat you just feel cocooned away. I just love mine!

So here are some ideas for styling them....

Navy wool coat with navy, grey or caramel balaclava.

Brown coat with caramel or beige balaclava

Camel trench with caramel, navy, black or beige balaclava.

Black balaclava with a faux fur, black coat, leather jacket or blazer.

Caramel balaclava with a khaki jacket or barn / field jacket.
