Copenhagen Street Style Inspo

Copenhagen Street Style Inspo

Copenhagen Fashion Week took place at the end of January and I’ve loved seeing all of the street style from Copenhagen all over Instagram  and on my fave style sites. Cited as 'the must have ticket' by Who What Wear, Copenhagen Fashion Week, once the little sister is now one to rival London, New York, Paris, and Milan but with a less competitive attitude. "Copenhagen thrives on a spirit of cooperation and creative exploration" (Who, What, Wear, Jan 2025) and this is filters through to the street style on show from the Scandi capital, all year round but even more so during fashion week.

Here is my Scandi edit and the pieces from Scott-Samuel that’ll add a little Scandi cool to your look.

Scandi style is synonymous with fun, colour, textures, accessories. More is more!

Balaclava / hood - knitted hoods were everywhere and styled with everything. Mostly worn up. Loving the grey, beige and navy for colours that go with everything. If you don't have one you can use a knitted neckerchief to achieve a similar look.

Knitted neckerchief - knitted neckerchiefs are so versatile. Worn as a neck scarf and knotted at the neck or as a headscarf and tied under the chin. My cashmere neckerchief and red neckerchiefs (cashmere mix) are perfect for this.  In red, taupe, grey, brown or black. My favourite is the taupe cashmere. Wear now as a knitted hood / headscarf when the temperature dips and round your neck to take you into Spring.

Bag charms - super cute bag charms were everywhere. Cherries, hearts, stars, pom-poms or ballet slippers all look fab on structured handbags. The more the merrier was very much the theme and you are going to see lots of these this hear. Shop bag charms here. Also seen on bags were scarves either woven around the handle or hanging loose. Cotton paisley scarves are perfect for this.

Leopard silk scarf - The leopard love affair continues. This leopard pure silk scarf looks great as a neck scarf, in your hair, tied on your bag (although frankly feels like a waste of the most beautiful scarf to be on your bag!) or as a headscarf.

Cherry bag - Scandi girls love colour and fun, eclectic accessories and this cute cherry heart crochet bag is a great addition.  In pink, cream or black with red heart shaped cherries.

Socks - visible socks are cute and practical. Socks over tights was definitely a thing this season in Copenhagen. If that isn't for you then adding a statement sock in a bright colour or pattern works well. I love these burgundy spotted socks or these red dogtooth socks. Great with boat shoes or loafers, which were also v prominent this season.

Oversized collars - oversized collars were still very popular and these removable oversized collars are a great addition to your knit or top. Go for a contrasting colour or clashing print.

Sunglasses - Sunglasses are def not just for Summer. I love these rectangular sunglasse and these pink aviators think they’d look fab with Scandi girl styling! So many cool sunglasses spotted at Fashion Week and lots of these are similar shapes and colours to ones I have in stock. Shop sunglasses here.

Crochet headscarves - these crochet headscarves are giving Scandi Spring vibes! Or wear as a crochet neckerchief. In lots of different colours and patterns, neutrals and brights.
