Holidays… if you’re jetting off somewhere hot this spring/ summer I’ve got you covered. If we have good weather here then all of this can work at home too! This was going to be an all round holiday post but I’m actually making it mostly about bag’s because there are so many!!
Bags - I’m starting off with bags because it’s a biggie. Leather Bumbags are fabulous travel companions for so many reasons, number one being that they are so practical. For me I find them much more easy to wear, use and access than a normal cross body bag. For instance I easily drive in my Bumbag, I move it around to the back if I need to grab my luggage off a conveyor belt. So colour wise, for Summer you may want to go bright or pastel, cognac or metallic as opposed to black. I use my cream and my pink bumbag lots and took the cream one to Greece last year and found it went with everything and felt summery. The other thing to say is that bum bags can easily be dressed up or down so a regular sized bumbag can be your only holiday bag should you wish. Ideal for a mini break or if you are going hand luggage only, which I know lots of you do these days. I am a big fan of the regular size but I know lots of you have taken your large bumbags and XL bumbags on your holidays, including @isthistooyoung for me who calls her Large bumbag "The Barcelona Bag"!
Metallic bags - I love a metallic bag in the summer with s suntan… as well as metallic bumbags the leather top handle bag is a great holiday ‘going out’ bag especially as it can work as a clutch/ grab bag or cross body. These come in gold, silver or pewter.The Striped Metallic Bags look great on holiday too. I have several different size and colour options for striped metallic bags which you can see here. Fringed metallics have just arrived (these are pre order) and they are pretty fab.... Fringed Bumbags, a large fringed shopper and mini shoppers.
Beach bag / tote - I have been asked about beach bags a few times. So there are a few options I have here… I love my Bamboo handled hessian shopper. It’s a great option for a holiday bag, is v summery (altho I use mine all year round) and packs flat which makes it ideal if you want to take a beach bag but don’t want it to be your hand luggage bag. If you are after a large beach bag there are a couple of options. The Boheme canvas bag with leather straps is a large beach bag and will also work well as a hand luggage bag.
These Woven Tote Bags are new in. It’s a medium sized basket, flattish, which again lends itself to packing. You won’t got a family of fours stuff in there but it will work great if you don’t need as much (coming soon).
The knitted shopper and the heart shopper. Both great all round Spring Summer and holiday bags (and can make beach bags if you aren't carrying loads). Take them on holiday and please please send me your pics because it makes me SO happy!! The brights are gorgeous and make me think of summer not all of them world work well and the camel and black shopper looks great with black or tan sandals (should you wish to match!). They fold down pretty flat. They aren’t enormous but are perfect for carrying extra bits for a days sightseeing (water, sun cream etc) or a small amount of holiday shopping. These can also work as an extra holiday bag due to the size and easily packability!
The Crochet raffia tote bags are also a fab holiday bag (£33). These have received a lot of love. They are smallish so work day to night and for solo / couples beach trips! These also pack pretty flat. The black and natural is a gorgeous neutral bag but the orange and pink is fab if you want a pop of colour!
Raffia Clutch and the Crochet Clutch These both make great additions to your holiday acccessories wardrobe. Perfect little evening bag. They pack flat (the raffia clutch incredibly flat) and work day to night. You can use the clutch to store your purse and phone in during the day within your beach bag. You're welcome! The raffia clutch is avilable in black, stripe, natural, orange and turquoise, oh and did I mention that the natura has a matching sun visor?!
Kimonos I LOVE a kimono on holiday. Perfect for throwing on over a bikini or costume, with shorts and a vest. They instantly uplevel your look. For a beach holiday they're perfect and also great day to night as you can easily dress them up. The Lace Vintage style Kimono is beautiful, very 70's. Looks fab with denim but equally can work very dressed up with linen trousers or over a dress. Available in cream and coming soon in brown. The Black Embroidered Floral Kimono is another super easy one for holiday. I love this with black swimwear.
Sunglasses - I don't need to tell you to take some sunglasses on your hols. As you know we have LOADS of fab sunglasses on the website. They all offer UVA and UVB protection, so perfect for your hols.
Jewellery - Again jewellery for me is a must on holiday. I love that the Gold Plated stainless steel jewellery on the website can be worn all day and night. I think a couple of pretty gold layered necklaces and some arm candy look fab with swimwear and a tan. Check out some of the options here.
