Influencer Spotlight - Caroline's Style Hacks

Influencer Spotlight - Caroline's Style Hacks

Instagram is a great place to get outfit inspiration from.  I have connected with some wonderful women on there and wanted to introduce them to you and show you their style.

To kick off I chatted to Caroline Cook aka @CarolinesStyleHacks Caroline is super lovely and has a great style.

How would you describe your style?

A real mix of Preloved, high street and designer.

I like to wear relaxed oversized fits but also really dress up.  I don’t think I need to be a neutrals or colours person. It’s ok to wear both.

How long have you been on Instagram? Tell us a bit about your journey on there  and what you share?

I have been on Instagram just over 3 years now. My sister and friends encouraged me to share my outfits as a way to be a stylist without being a personal stylist. I have always loved fashion and this was a great way to get back into the industry.

What is your favourite independent brand and why?

I love Tallulah & Hope. The fabric designs are always unique.   I also think Nason London makes the most stunning cuts of dresses. Both Best of British.

What is your favourite season to dress for?

I thought it was winter but looking through my outfits I realise I favour Spring/Summer. I think I prefer showing my ankles.  Trousers look better and my favourite dresses are mainly summer ones.

What is your favourite High Street shop and why?

Marks & Spencer’s for great coats .  They are also making their way forward with sustainability and transparent product information.  I also think they are adapting to the new way of shopping.

What is your go-to look for dressing up?

I like a relaxed fit Jean (my Golden Goose Kim Jeans), sparkly Miu Miu esque flats like my pointed Vitagrace ones and a plain knit or sparkly top to dress it up.

And your signature style for casual dressing?

Relaxed jeans or wide leg slightly cropped trousers. I have navy Topshop Boutique ones I have worn on repeat for 7/8 years. Oversized or fitted coat/jacket (My Ganni one or a fitted Old Zara blazer) and trainers (favourites are my Nike x Undercover) with a little sock or ankle showing.

What is your favourite accessory?

My APC bag. I have 3 but I’d say my navy quilted one is my favourite.

Are you a hoarder or a declutterer?

Declutterer.  I am always passing on clothes, selling them, re purposing.  I am more creative with less clutter.

Best style advice/tip?

Always try to get proportions right.  And wear the size that looks best. No one sees the size label. Only you!

Thank you so much Caroline! If you don't already follow her, go check her Instagram out. xx
