Today I chat to the lovely Joanna, aka @lovestyle40 about her style. 

How would you describe your style Joanna?

I’d say my style is Relaxed Glamour. If I had to describe it in 3 words, it would be Classy, Feminine and Versatile. 

How long have you been on Instagram? Tell us a bit about your journey on there and what you share?

My Instagram page started when I turned 40, 6 years ago. I wanted to share my love of fashion & beauty by sharing my everyday outfits and makeup/skincare products that I use. I think what I do best, is mixing my designer accessories with high street fashion. One of my most liked outfits was a Gucci & Newlook combination. 

What is your favourite independent brand and why?

I love Tutti & Co for their beautiful jewellery and accessories. 

What is your favourite season to dress for?

I think Spring has to be my favourite followed closely by Autumn. I love Spring dressing as it’s usually pretty pastels, fresh white shirts and denim. I do love the classic white shirt, jeans & trainer combo. It also means blazer weather and I do love a blazer! I have many that I’ve collected over the years all different colours. 

Favourite High Street shop and why?

That’s tough! I love H&M for great basics and their jeans choice. Mango is also brilliant for coats and dresses. I always head to Zara for a good blazer and M&S for great everyday pieces. 

What is your go-to look for dressing up?

My go-to look for dressing up is definitely a blazer, cami, jeans & heels with some statement gold jewellery and a pop of red lippy 💋

And your signature style for casual dressing?

I’m quite casual most of the time but always add a nice bag, smart coat and sunnies to give it a bit of oomph. Definitely jeans with a cashmere jumper, ankle boots, loafers or trainers depending on weather, but usually always jeans and pop of colour somewhere. 

What is your favourite accessory?  

I think I have to say that my Chanel bag is my favourite accessory along with sunglasses. Never leave the house without them! 

Favourite piece from Scott-Samuel?

I love the Obi Wrap Belt. I have it in the black. It's great with my maxi dresses to cinch in my waist and it comes in loads of fabulous colours.

Are you a hoarder or a declutterer?

I’m definitely a hoarder but I’m getting better at decluttering! My coat collection has taken over my spare room! I find it hard to part with certain things, coats especially. 

Best style advice/tip?

Wear what you love! There are no rules and sizing is just a number. As long as you love what you’re wearing and you feel fabulous in it, then you’re winning! 

Dream collab?

Hmmm, that would have to be Gucci I think..
