If you're a lover of that old fave, jeans and a nice top. What does that mean over party season? Can you still get away with jeans and a nice top? Hell yes! Here are some ideas for glamming up your jeans and a nice top outfits (and they aren't all sparkly, as I know it's not everyone's bag!
Jeans - Personally I love a wide leg, a straight leg or a carrot leg but there are no rules to this. Jeans and a nice top can be many things depending on your style. I do tend to favour darker jeans in the winter but that is just me. Or black jeans (or grey!) Also loving the palazzo style jeans and they look great with a short or cropped jacket too.
A nice top can really be anything. If you go simple you might want to add some statement jewellery. Oversized Pearl and Heart choker, a tulle frill collar, a skinny satin scarf loosely tied round your neck, as a bow or around a blouse as a pussy bow. Or what about a camelia velvet bow at your neck or as a brooch on your top. I also LOVE a fancy earring and these Crystal Statement Earrings are just fab for dressing up some thing quite simple.
Sequin Capes can be added over so many different tops and they instantly dress things up. Over a plain silk vest, a blouse, or even a knit. They also look great over a blazer and guess what... I LOVE them with jeans. Perfect bit of high/low dressing.
A faux fur is a great way to add a bit of glam to your jeans and a nice top outfit and there are loads around at this time of year. These Faux Fur shrugs at £25 are a great way to glam up as they can be worn over your usual blazer , coat or your top. (main pic in black or grey) .
Sparkly socks - you may have noticed by now that I love a sock and nights out / dressing up is no exception. Bring on the sparkly socks, sheer socks in checked or sheer floral or even the striped sparkly socks! With flats, with Mary-Janes, with ballet pumps or with high heels (sandals or otherwise) love a bit of sparkly sock on show. If you're new to this look and a bit scared (I get that new things can be daunting) you can go for a tonal sock, either the same colour as your shoe or as your jeans.
So there you go jeans and a nice top is v much still an easy festive night (or day) out option and there are lots of ways to do it and look current.
