Accessory Inspo from Copenhagen Fashion Week

Accessory Inspo from Copenhagen Fashion Week

I have been loving seeing the pictures from Copenhagen fashion week last week. Always so quirky and fun, and always cool (in spite of the freezing temperatures and snow! Here’s a few of the things I picked up that we have in store at Scott-Samuel all that you can easily create with similar items here.

Woollen bucket hat - I spotted several girls wearing the woollen bucket hat with tonal outfits and I think they look really great. These are now in the sale so grab yourself a bargain. £16 each (in taupe, grey or black)

Brooches - it’s no new news that brooches are everywhere this year already and Copenhagen was no different. We saw them adorning coats, blazers and also hats scarfs and cinching in waist on shirts. Shop brooches here.

Skinny scarves -  the exact same skinny scarves we have in stock we’re actually showing at Copenhagen fashion week my favourite is the harlequin (above) The skinny striped scarf was also a hit in Copenhagen. Shop here.
Knitted Triangular scarves/neckerchiefs - knitted scarves have been around for awhile now and they were still ever present at Copenhagen fashion week. An easy way to add a pop of colour to your outfit go for a red or burgundy or what about a stripe? They were also seen worn as head scarves at CFW. Shop merino neckerchiefs here (plain or striped and also in red).  Shop cashmere neckerchiefs hereor cashmere mix (red) here.

Lace - lace is another thing that we are still going to be seeing a lot of this year which I am for one am very pleased about! I loved the styling of the lace scarf over a leather funnel neck jacket at Copenhagen fashion week. Lace scarves tied around waist popping out under knitwear or a shirt or belted over jackets were also seen.

Belts - lots of belts seen at fashion week ranging in style size and colour. I love the belted look over a big coat or blazer. This can be achieved with the leather not belt the Wide woven belt or the skinny vegan belt. Scarfs tied as belts also looked great. This would look great with the wool checked triangular scarf.

Fur hats - Copenhagen at this time of year is freezing and so lots of faux fur hats were seen! The faux fur Beret it’s perfect for achieving this look. Shop faux fur  beret .

Faux fur - faux fur snoods are great for not only keeping warm but adding interest to a jacket or blazer. Lots of faux fur was seen in Copenhagen. I love the faux fur in a contrasting colour to the jacket. reduced to £8

I’ve used this faux fur scarf as a collar by adding a brooch! Two trends into one!
Mongolian wool scarf - Mongolian wool is not only great because it looks fabulous but it keeps you warm too. It was seen on jackets and collars. The easiest way to achieve this look is by adding a Mongolian wool scarf, now in the sale at £68.

Balaclavas or hoods were still seen as well as more bonnet shaped ones.

This multiway balaclava works well as a bonnet when tied underneath the chin!
Bright socks are a fab one and really easy way to add interest to an outfit.  There are lots of patterned socks (hello polka dot socks! the burgundy is my face but the monochrome are fab too ) or these new bamboo socks in burgndy, red, pale blue, brown or grey look fab with a loafer, trainer or pointed flat.
Oversized Sunglasses - I do love an oversized sunnie and was happy to see that big aviatiors are still everywhere. These blue retro aviators are fab.

Bags... I have to be quick but let's just say if I had gone to CFW I would have taken the Fringed Leather Bag or the Large Drawstring Slouch Tote,
burgundy woven handbag or the Polished leather handbag.
