It's wedding season so I have pulled together some amazing outfit ideas, high street and indie/ designer to give you some inspo and the wow factor. Not just for weddings these outfits would work well for a day at the Races or similar. Now I just need a wedding invite...
I really could have gone on and on with this as there are wedding outfits everywhere at the moment but wanted to highlight some of the brands I love and some dresses that I really liked.
Top left is a boho style Amelie Annie dress from Never Fully Dressed £129. I love these colours, this would work great on holiday as well with sandals or sliders. I love it with these Charlie orange metallic sandals from Esska (who make the best party shoes). Not only are they beautiful but they are super comfy too.I have pictured the orange fringed suede bag with it, but it also looks great with metallics or tan leather.
Next up is a beautiful dress from Tallulah & Hope. I love everything that they do, really special forever pieces with the most stunning embroidery to be loved and worn year after year. This Gloria wrap dress is a super flattering shape. This gorgeous green would work with mint accessories, pink, tan or metallic. I have paired it here with the tan studded leather clutch which is a great wedding bag. Metallic heels or flats work well with the studs.
Mutha Hood is a brand by my lovely friend Gemma. Her dresses are full of carefully thought out details, mking them super flattering and comfortable and are a joy to wear. This Dianne dress is perfect for a wedding. £78 This would work with pastel accessories, tan leather or metallics. I love it with the dusky pink leather top handle bag.
This pink embroidered Starlight Midi dress is from Nobody's Child and I think it's gorgeous. I love the yellow embroidery and the shape of this has a real vintage feel. I have paired it with the nude quilted bag and I think heels or Mary Jane style flats work with this style of dress.
This beautiful Lilac silk wrap dress is from Raf & Grace (£65) who make one off pieces from end of roll sari silk. No two pieces are the same and every piece is just beautiful. This would look great with the Lilac or Gold Top Handle bag, gold jewellery and metallic shoes. I have a similar dress in orange and purple from them from last year and I love it. I have worn it with my Esska gold shoes and my gold top handle bag and love it. Sarah who runs R&G always looks fab abd she wears her dresses styled down with trainers too which I love.
Next up is my high street pick, it's River Island and this lilac frilly number caught my eye £50. Bag and shoe wise as with the last dress, you can go matchy matchy or choose a completely different colour. I love taupe/brown with lilac, green and orange also all look great with it. The lilac shoes are Esska. We have a lilac metallic stripe bag that would look fab with this too.
Another lilac, yes it's everywhere but a completely different style is this Lilac & Black Tiger print from Ganni, which is massively reduced at House of Fraser to £125. Black accessories would go with this one due to the pattern. I try to steer away from black bags in the Spring Summer but think this would work well with a simple black bag like the Classic Cross Body leather bag.
Last up is a gorgeous green satin dress from Ghost @ John Lewis. There are loads of satin dresses around. Lots of slip style, which can be worn with a jacket too or a kimono jacket over the top.. I love green and pink together. I have chosen the hot pink suede fringed bag and some fuschia Mary Janes from Moi shoes. Love this outfit!.
Jewellery wise we have lots of jewellery. Pearls are gorgeous for wedding outfits and really special earrings too. I love a brooch if you are planning on wearing a jacket or blazer and fabulous sunglasses are a must!
This was very much a whistle stop tour but hope it gives you some ideas and some new places to look and gorgeous brands to discover!
