Which bag style are you?

Which bag style are you?

As a self confessed style chameleon I like to dip into all of these. I love the fact that I have multiple style personalities lurking in my wardrobe. Yes it can make deciding what to wear a longer process but I do have my old faves which I reach for for the things I do regularly. I thought I would talk you through some of the bags and which Style personalities or categories they fall in to. Spoiler alert... lots are more than one and should def not be pigeonholed!!

If your style is…
Boho / Vintage you might like the...
Vintage stud leather bag - this is an obvious one for the boho girls and one of my fave bags. The brass stud detailing, the washed leather lends itself to a boho vibe. It comes in various different colours, is VERY popular and has 107 x 5 star reviews.

"In love with my new bag !!! Gorgeous sort leather. Lovely closing on the bag. Perfect size. Only down side is its made me want the bag in a few more colours. 😆"

Woven Leather baskets - these come in various different sizes and colours and are an all year round favourite with you guys. This is the bag featured by stylists, style journalists, style influencers and magazines. My fave is the regular in dark brown. These baskets look great with boho styling. For Autumn this means my tan suede jacket and cords or wide leg jeans and a pretty blouse and then my faux shearling as it gets cooler.

Washed leather bumbag - the washed leather bumbag... or in fact any bumbag, as I often wear a boho outfit with my bumbag. Here's an example at a festival with an embroidered kaftan style dress and my large leather bumbag in dark brown.

Fringing and boho go hand in hand… I like the Suede Fringed Bag to add a little boho to an outfit or as a smaller bag if I’m going out.

If your style is Minimal…
Oversized Drawstring slouch - this bag lends itself to minimal styling. It’s a simple, modern bag in beautiful quality leather and looks great with a tonal outfit or a monochrome look.

Woven Leather Basket - the woven leather basket actually pairs beautifully with a a clean minimal look. I particularly like the black for this. Image below for example purposes only shown with a similar style of bag.

Minimal - the Large minimal bag goes with a minimal look. It’s a classic simple minimalist design with gold hardware. Styled here with a brown funnel neck jacket.

Large bumbag in black or navy - the large bumbag is the most suitable of the bumbags for a minimal look in terms of the clean lines, hidden hardware, the look and feel.
Luxurious black leather bumbag with silver hardware and adjustable strap.

Geo - the Geometric bag looks great with minimal styling. Let the bag be the focus.

Cool girl … what is a cool girl aesthetic? Well this might vary depending on who you’re asking..: for me there will be an element of individuality, maybe mixing styles, mixing high low, mixing casual and dressy.  Adding some great sunglasses (I always feel my yellow oversized aviators are cool girl glasses), perhaps some vintage, a great bag. Confidence not to be on trend.
Google says…
The "cool girl" aesthetic is a popular style and attitude that mixes relaxed basics with sharp, intentional pieces to look effortless and unbothered.
Fringed Leather Bag- the Fringed leather bag is without doubt a cool girl bag. It’s edgy . It has fringing, but not quite n a boho way. It’s a statement piece and it looks great with this kind of outfit.

Oversized Drawstring slouch - the drawstring bag is another great cool girl bag. Oversized, practical, adds a little edge and looks fab under your arm.

Geometric leather bag - I love the geometric leather bag dressed down for cool girl vibes. How you wear it makes all the difference with this bag. Slouchy denim, elevated basics, a bit of vintage thrown in and you’re ready…

Leather Basket - yes the Woven leather basket is absolutely a cool girl bag (should you wish it to be) the thing I love about all of these bags are that they can be worn / styled in so many different ways, depending on your style, your mood. Love this one with a cool girl aesthetic (and yes all year round).

Heart leather bag - I love the heart bag styled with an eclectic outfit. Dressed down for daytime. Often with a second bag (for practical reasons) .

Classic …  if you lean towards a classic aesthetic. There are lots of bags that will work for you.

Large Minimal bag -the minimal bag in a gorgeous mocha colour is a classic bag and looks great with a simple shirt, jeans and loafers look.

Geometric leather bag - the Geo is perfect styled for a classic look with a trench coat and silk scarf.  This bag can be dressed up or down.  As seen below on @alis_loveofstyle
Bumbag - a simple leather bumbag is great for an off duty classic look. With jeans and trainers for weekends or over a trench or blazer for a smarter look.  As seen on Nicola @40notfrumpy

Leather Basket - the leather basket again shows its versatility by perfectly complementing a classic Autumn look. I love it with a suede jacket, white shirt, jeans and loafers for a simple classic look. As seen below on @emilyfitchm
Vintage stud - the vintage stud leather bag can also look great with a classic look, adding another element to it. Again with a trench and jeans or suede jacket..,

Hopefully this has shown you that whatever your style these bags can work for you and they def shouldn't be type cast as they can work with so many different outfits and styles!
