Choosing the right colour leather basket for your holiday and beyond...

are you struggling to choose which colour woven leather basket to buy for your holiday or mini break? With so many great choices it’s easy to feel confused. This post will help you decide which is the right colour for you based on your holiday wardrobe and how you want to look and feel. 

Also one of the things I LOVE about Woven Leather baskets are that they aren't just for holidays, or even just Summer. Unlike a straw basket they are wearable all year round and I use mine throughout the year (see below for some inspo).

Tan / Brown There’s no doubt that a tan leather basket is classic and screams summer holiday. Tan leather looks great with brights with white and with a neutral wardrobe. It’s a classic woven leather basket colour and perhaps an obvious choice. Most of us will have a pair of tan leather sandals, but this actually looks great regardless of the colour of your footwear. 

Dark brown - dark brown is perhaps a surprise Summer contender but a dark brown leather basket is classy and chic and it actually looks great with a summer Wardrobe. I wear mine with dark brown or tan sandals, if you don’t wanna do matching matchy, it works well with a neutral, black or with tan. Pictured here on Lauren @styledby_mrsj (this is the regular size). Black woven leather basket - there’s no doubt about it a black woven leather basket looks so chic. For me, I’d always pair this with black sandals and a simple minimal outfit in monochrome or block colours. It looks great with oversized sunglasses, gold jewellery and a fabulous hat or headscarf. My most worn colour for AW has to be the Dark brown, but I do also love the tan / brown and the black.
