I chatted to Margarita Salomó, stylist and the founder of ‘Your Midlife Toolkit’ a new venture to empower and support women.

How did it all come about?  What gave you the idea? 
Your Midlife Toolkit was born from a deep curiosity to explore the many layers of midlife: mentally, physically, and through personal style. We wanted to create a space where these transitions could be openly talked about, understood, and embraced. Midlife isn’t just about managing change; it’s about redefining it on your own terms. Whether it’s shifting mindsets, navigating physical changes, or reconnecting with your style, Your Midlife Toolkit brings it all together to support women in feeling confident, empowered, and authentically themselves through every stage of this journey.

What can people expect? 
Expert-Led Discussions: Our panellists share their insights, breaking down key midlife topics in an engaging and easy-to-understand way.

How do they book in?
We run events wherever there’s a need, from in-store sessions to our own gatherings in Hertfordshire and London. Whether it’s a brand collaboration or a community event, we bring Your Midlife Toolkit to life through engaging, supportive, and stylish experiences.

Is it online or in person? 
We host in person events. Each event brings together four expert panellists, each specialising in a key area of midlife well-being:

Dr. Fionnuala Barton – Women’s Health Doctor

Dr Barton is a women’s health doctor and menopause specialist passionate about preventative health through lifestyle change as well as early recognition and proactive holistic management of the common medical issues that we face in midlife.

Suzy Reading –  Author, chartered psychologist and self-advocacy expert
Your mindset and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health. Suzy helps you understand the psychological shifts of midlife, offering powerful self-care practices, stress management techniques, and mindset shifts that promote resilience, confidence, and balance.

Edwina Jenner – Personal Trainer & Strength Coach
A highly experienced personal trainer, Edwina focuses on assisting midlife women in losing weight, building strength, and proactively preparing for the physical transitions of ageing and perimenopause.

Margarita Salomó – Personal Stylist

Margarita Salomó is a personal stylist and founder of Your Midlife Toolkit, a platform supporting women through the mental, physical, and style shifts of midlife. She’s passionate about the transformative power of dressing well, using style as a tool to boost confidence, presence, and self-worth. Through one-on-one styling, events, and her Instagram @love.your.wardrobe, Margarita helps women feel confidente, stylish, and empowered at every stage of life.
