The autumn trends this year I think are pretty good ones, that are easy to adopt, very wearable and I am guessing several of these items or similar you will already have. Nina previously mentioned the key autumn trends that we are seeing around a lot at the moment. I thought I’d share how I am planning on making some of these work within my wardrobe.
Burgundy is an easy one as for me, I love burgundy at this time of year anyway regardless of whether it is on trend. Super easy way to add burgundy is with a bag I am loving the Classic Leather Bag in this shade and also the Fringed Leather Bag in this shade too they both look great with camel with navy with black with brown and grey. The Large Leather Bumbag and the Regular Leather Bumbag are both available in this shade too. I actually have a burgundy leather skirt which is vintage and I found a few few years ago which I will be wearing as well. I also have a few other burgundy pieces in my wardrobe a boiler suit from Beyond Nine and some burgundy wide leg joggers (which I found on Vinted). If you’re not sure if burgundy is a colour for you a really great way though is via a bag because it’s not close to your face. Also hello burgundy socks!! Yes I have a dogtooth pair in burgundy and navy which I love and a new polka dot burgundy pair. The perfect little pop of burgundy. Oh and don't forget you can easily add this colour to your outfit on your nails!!
Rugby shirt - I actually had one of these first time around when I was a teenager. I’m pretty sure I stole/borrowed it from my dad. He will have to verify this. I wasn’t sure whether I’d like it again this time round so I found one on Vinted for a bargain. It’s actually perfect for this time of year when it’s a bit cooler and we’re not quite into full on knitwear season yet, I wore mine with carrot shaped jeans and trainers and it was perfect for a day running errands. There are lots of these about. Obviously it’s a really casual look if you pair it with jeans and trainers like I did, however I have seen @Carolinesstylehacks where hers with a leather skirt and it looked great. There are lots of these around at the moment but I always try preloved with something like this first as you can pick one up for a bargain. I am styling mine with my leather bumbag and I like it with a leather jacket too.
Leopard is always one of my favourites so this one is super easy for me. I love my leopard jeans from Cotswold Shed still wearing them lots and they are really easy one for autumn winter because they go with everything. Adding a denim shirt a pretty blouse a T-shirt and cardi the options are really endless and they go great with a trench over the top. Once it gets colder, I’ll be wearing them with a jumper as well. I’ll also be wearing my padded leopard gilet now it’s a little bit cooler as this is a great layer. Leopard shoes from Stradivarius are something I have worn loads already and will continue to do so. If you want a nod to the trend, what about the Leopard Crossbody. This Leopard bag comes in regular or large and there is even a leopard print backpack version. Leopard really is everywhere at the moment but I am sure you will have some in your wardrobe already.
Lace skirts The Lacy skirt wasn’t something that I was prepared to buy into, although I love this look on others, but I have ended up finding a kind of tiered maxi skirt with lace trim in it on Vinted, which I actually really love and works better for me. If lace isn't for you, chiffon works well and I have seen some of these net style / chiffon skirts around too. I have got a Black chiffon t shirt dress that I kept from about 10 years ago, that I will be trying out too. If lace skirts are a bit too Y2K for you, an easy alternative is a lace blouse.
